Good Morn’ After Evening Night Everyone~

#DWYL Do What You Love. It is usually tagged at the end, but it is something I want to do more often. This was a year filled with so many events and I hope everyone got to experience fantastic ones. I know Facebook has summed it up really nicely with their wrap-up, but it is something that cannot be shortened down with a handful of pictures. Trust me on this one since I have taken a picture everyday and it still doesn’t feel like enough haha. With that, all I can say is keep taking more pictures because I know I will! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and looking forward to the great new year~

New Years Resolution: (Gotta keep up with all of them =D)

-Stay Active
-Meet More People
-More Jobs~ Shoots and Events to cover
-Project Collabs
-Dance 3-5 times a week
-Get my wings and go out of state; be on an airplane for the first time.
-Maybe make a t-shirt? that would be so cool to do haha

Honestly, thank you everyone~ As always, keep being awesome!

Can’t believe that the year is half over! This journey has been one that I have pushed more than ever. On this road, there have been monuments of moments. I have not seen Life of Walter Mitty, unfortunately have not read it either; I need to do both. I kind of just lived my own version of it. There have been three main outcomes I have seen: Positive, Negative, and Transparent. Positive, you get what you want and it is good; for the most part. Negative, rejection! and Transparency, do nothing and be seen by no one. When I put it that way, rejection is not bad at all. I can see what I did wrong and try again. If that does not work, move on to the next new thing. What I have learned (and still am trying to learn) is to not be transparent. Art is meant to be seen, all art of all kinds. Anything audio, visual, physical, and produced by humans. For the long list of what I mean music, video, photography, cosplay, hairstyling, dancing, martial arts, cooking, art; whatever people love doing that’s an art to them. You have to show it for it to be seen. Here is where I usually drop the mic.

Slowly updating my site, but you can see my 2014 work with these wonderful people!

The Dial (Consisting of amazing artists, which is everyone there)
XxSnowfrostxx & Superrlynn Photography (Awesome Floridian Cosplayers)
Gavin XVI (Rockin’ Bassist in Hemet)
Xemnass Costume and Props (NorCal cosplayer that makes epic weapons and armor)
Next Journey Pro & Fleeting Moment Media (We’re making a Podcast!)
EunYeah, Dot Cosplay, & Linniee (SoCal and Berkeley League of Legends Cosplayers)
LadyMella, Flyawaysky & BlossomBerry Cosplay (Wonderful SoCal Cosplayers)
Rocket Comics (Art Shows where you can see my work and the fantastic people there!)
City of Temecula (Awesome city for letting me be a part of their Rod Run)
Mount San Jacinto College
(Awesome Dance Dept. That let me cover their showcase)

and I’ll wrap it up, those are places where I have left a print this year; sorry if I left people out, there will be more. BUT!
I THANK EVERYONE, SO STAY AWESOME~

ps. Saw Walter Mitty, what a great movie!

What a wonderful year it’s been! 2013 was filled with a blast of events that has pushed me to higher limits. Anime Conji, Lover’s Rock, Fanime, and Anime Expo to name a few. The year started with the step up to full-frame and ended with getting my L lens. Now, the main goals for 2014 is consistency and progression!. Kinda contradicts itself maybe a consistent progression?- a constant rise, but you know what I mean haha. I hope to fly out of state for the summer or winter. Shoot at a few more sporting events and concerts where I can. Definitely do more networking to get my name out there across the country; as well as all the yearly events here in California. Lastly, start making some prints to sell for you guys that really like the work and want to support~

The first quarter is looking good with Anime Los Angeles and True Movement San Diego. I’ll keep this post short, it’s been a great one-year with Bits Photography, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, 2014! I am getting ready for you! Everybody stay awesome as you all are and aim to be more awesome!

Thank you All,

Anthony

Level Up!

The Voyage and Return

In my absence of the social medias, all of the time went into improving myself. In ways of improving physically and mentally, as if to prepare for a boss battle in a video game. For me, this post, is that boss battle that I have been working up to. Though it took quite a bit of time, there is nothing wrong as it takes some patience to construct and strengthen oneself. The speed of which we take steps varies from person to person. And I am definitely not an Altair, Ezio, or Connor, to where I can leap ahead a few levels; not yet at least.  With that in mind, I still continue to go at it in my pace to get into the next level.

Now I know I have not been able to update as quickly as I wanted to. After the blast of conventions over the summer doing photoshoots with different people in consecutive days while thinking up of all ways to make each unique… Well it really did a number on me to be put into a recovery period. Much to say, but to keep it short, this summer was very memorable to me. I have met a lot of new people and raised the bar for myself. With this fall season, do not think that everything has died down. Another notch onto my age, another level to get to, and another boss battle to prepare for. There will be so much more to see and enjoy! So be a part of it =]

True Movement SD

As the first quarter of 2013 reached an end, San Diego brought the fire at the True Movement event. This was an experience I was glad I did not miss out on. At arrival, a few hours before the competition started, the energy was high and group circles were going on everywhere; both tricking and breaking. The SD United Staff, judges, and experts were all available on floor and happy to assist. With a spectator pass, the training area was open for practice, which was pretty nice getting to wander all over the gym; aside from the workshops during those hours. The thing that caught my attention, was the stage for the breaking competition. It was a raised platform in the center of the gym,  to put the feeling in one word, Hype! Dancers had the audience looking up at them and the judges on equal level, it was crazy to see everyone bringing in their A-game with them! I was able to get a good spot after asking the staff where it would be cool to do so and fellow photographers there pointed it out as well. There it was, stood right next to the judges, Roxrite, Kill, and Leon haha; It was the feeling of sitting courtside.  I'll try to wrap this up now, so you all can enjoy the event in the gallery and facebook page (which will be linked on the event tab or you can check out the fb pagelink on Let's Socialize at the top). It was definitely worth it, thank you to the SD United staff for throwing it! and hope to see another one soon~

#2 New Year

Hours away from my next shoot, and I decided to blog my thoughts a bit before I blank out. I just got over that 'Con Cold' from last weekend while working on pictures for clients; if one person gets sick at a convention it will hit everyone. The new year started and I hope everyone is having a good one! Things kicked off big for me, as I decided to upgrade to a Full-Frame body last minute before ALA.

If you saw me at Anime Los Angeles, I was still figuring out my way around it, but I absolutely enjoy this camera. I took it kind of slow with this convention, not trying to overload myself with a camera I am just getting used to on the day of. I did a few shoots for people, but mainly walked around and asked people to take their pictures. I am currently working on some pics, you can see the walk around snaps I did on my Facebook.

So to quickly wrap up, this convention is only a taste of what this year will bring. I plan to go to more dancing events, I had fun with the ones ILL Flavored threw in Lake Elsinore and hope to see more from them. 2013 - More conventions, B-boy jams, and Photoshoots. Cheers! (I don't drink, my glass is just water haha.)

#1. Welcoming Blog!

Sorry to step off from the formalities, but I am not sure what to say. I should probably rest first before typing this. Though, I gotta keep working at it to make sure everything's running great for launch; It could just be the aching from post-finals exhaustion. This is the first blog of the year! and what a way to end it haha. With the new year close to the horizon, I need to say that I am extremely thankful for the support from my family, girlfriend, and friends.

This year has been awesome for my photography to really develop and to test things out. I have shot previous years at conventions and events, but this year I got my name out there as much as I could. I socialized at gatherings, handed out cards, and did some very amazing impromptu photo-shoots with people I just introduced myself to. I covered one of the biggest b-boy/break-dancing events in Southern California to end the year with a bang.

I have done well and am looking up to some of the known names in the communities who I hope I can work with. Thanks to my brother, this site, is what I need to step into the major leagues. That, along with another semester to graduate, and obtain degree plus certificate haha. I hope you all will be looking forward to what I bring next year. 2013, Shooting for the Stars!

I am not a writer, just an Observer, finding a place to record my thoughts. The joy of this is a  replay of what was going on in my head during an event or time. Since this is public, you can like, follow, or reject this way of thinking; or even alter it to your own =)
